    APPLE CIDER DONUTS

    Ingredients

    • ¼ cup coconut flour
    • ¾ cup almond flour
    • 2 teaspoons xanthan gum optional but recommended
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
    • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
    • ¼ cup coconut oil
    • 4 eggs
    • ½ cup apple cider

    Topping Ingredients

    • ½ cup coconut sugar
    • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
    • ½ cup apple cider

    Instructions

    For the Donuts

    • Preheat oven to 350℉.
    • Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl with a whisk.
    • Add rest of ingredients to the dry ingredient bowl and whisk until it becomes a sticky, thick dough.
    • Use a piping bag or a ziplock bag with a corner sniped to pipe the dough into a greased donut pan, filling the entire donut cavity. 
    • with the back of a spoon, smooth out the dough in the pan; it will bake in the exact form it is piped. Bake for 20 minutes. 

    For the Topping

    • Mix together the sugar and cinnamon with a whisk
    • Pour the apple cider in a shallow bowl.
    • Dunk each COOLED donut quickly into the apple cider, so it doesn't get saturated, but slightly wet on the outside.
    • Put directly into the cinnamon sugar mixture and toss around to both sides of the donut.
    • Transfer to plate and enjoy!

    Ingredients

    Donut Ingredients:

    • 1/2 cup cassava flour⁣ if sensitive to cassava flour, sub with 1 cup almond flour plus 2 tablespoons coconut flour
    • 1/2 cup coconut sugar⁣
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt⁣
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda⁣
    • 1/2 cup cocoa powder⁣
    • 1 egg to keep vegan, replace with flax egg
    • 1/4 cup coconut oil⁣ melted
    • 1 cup warm water

    Chocolate Glaze Ingredients:

    • 1 cup dark chocolate about 10 ounces

    Instructions

    Instructions:

    • Preheat oven to 350℉.
    • Mix together all dry ingredients in large bowl with whisk.
    • Add rest of ingredients and mix until well combined and a batter forms.⁣
    • Scoop into donut pans and bake for 15-20 minutes until donuts are completely baked through.⁣
    • Let cool completely, dip in melted chocolate and decorate how you'd like! We used melted primal chocolate, toasted coconut, and natural sprinkles. Enjoy!

    *Note: When these are still hot they will appear to be "gummy" due to the cassava flour...this is normal! As they cool the texture will become cakey and tender again!

      Ingredients

      Paleo/Vegan Cookie Dough:

      • ½ cup creamy nut butter we like cashew butter the best!
      • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
      • ½ teaspoon sea salt
      • 1 teaspoon vanilla
      • 4 tablespoons coconut flour
      • 4 tablespoons dark chocolate finely chopped

      Chocolate Coating:

      • ½ cup dark chocolate melted

      Instructions

      For the Cookie Dough:

      • In medium sized bowl, mix together nut butter and maple syrup. It will thicken a bit.
      • Add in rest of ingredients and mix again with rubber spatula or wooden spoon until a very thick, uniform dough is made.
      • Separate into eight pieces and roll each into a ball, then squish it flat.
      • Poke a hole in the center and shape it into a “mini donut” shape.
      • Place in freezer for 10 minutes.

      For the Chocolate Coating:

      • Remove from freezer and dip each one into the melted chocolate, shake off excess and let set up. Enjoy!
